The meeting was called to order by President Peg Dobrinska at 5:45 pm. Peg spoke briefly about our objectives for the upcoming year, and changes we are making to the Club.

Club members and guests made our introductions at our seats. In addition, we gave an update on any new happenings in our lives this past summer. Dinner followed, with members and guests ordering from the Damon’s menu.

Peg gave us an outline for the upcoming meetings for the year. Some notes on our meetings include:

• October 15--"Do As You Please Trip" to New York City. Contact Fullington Bus directly at 355.2914 to make reservations.

• November 15—Governor’s Conference on Women, Philadelphia. Peg is planning on attending, and she is looking for other members interested in going.

• December 1—Holiday Party to include our significant others at Damon’s. Any volunteers interested in forming a planning committee should contact Peg.

• January 5—First business meeting for the year.

• March 2—Spa Night Fundraiser for Club Scholarship Fund with Ashear Barr as chair. More details to come.

Denise Quinn discussed the upcoming Fall District Meeting. Bellefonte will be hosting the meeting on Saturday, October 22. Denise will send out an email with the details to club members.

Julie Bartolomea gave members a catalog and an order form for the Innisbrook wrapping paper, to raise operating funds for the club, as we have done in previous years. She is asking that we get orders back to her by September 20, with Julie sending a reminder as we get closer to the deadline. A couple of details to remember are that we do collect state sales tax and checks are made payable to State College BPW.

Program:

‘Who Moved My Cheese?’ – Peg and Michal were the co-presenters of this enlightening program. An open discussion followed.
