| INDICATOR/SADDLE STOP (MLA-8) The indicator/saddle stop mounts on the lathe saddle ways and can be used in two modes: as a plain stop with a rod and with a dial indicator. The kit for making the indicator/saddle stop consists of an iron casting and a piece of 1018 CR steel for the shoe, drawing, and machining notes.  The dimensions shown in the illustration are those of the South Bend
9 inch lathe. Lathes having saddle ways of similar dimensions can also
